06.02.2018 • Meeting at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies

Sergey Minasyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in Romania visited the Bucharest University of Economic Studies on 06 February, 2018, and met with Dr. Nicolae Istudor, Rector of ASE and Dr. Marius Profiroiu, Vice-Rector responsible for international relations. During the meeting, the importance of interuniversity cooperation was emphasized, as well as opportunities for academic cooperation between the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and universities in Armenia.  

02.02.2018 • Meeting the US Ambassador to Romania

On February 2, 2018, the Ambassador of Armenia to Romania, Sergey Minasyan, paid a courtesy visit to the US Ambassador to Romania H.E. Mr. Hans Klemm. The parties discussed global and regional issues, the US-Armenia, US-Romania and Armenia-Romania relations, as well as the issue of the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, especially taking into consideration the vital role of the United States as Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. The role of the Armenian American community in the US-Armenia relations was widely recognized. Ambassadors agreed to maintain permanent contacts to discuss the above issues further.  

31.01.2018 • Meeting with H.E. Sergiu Celac

On January 31 Ambassador of Armenia to Romania Sergey Minasyan had a meeting with H.E. Sergiu Celac, head of the Scientific Council of New Strategy Center (NSC) and former Minister of Foreign Affairs in the first post-communist government of Romania (1989-1990). Ambassador Celac is author of numerous academic publications. Mr. Celac is Vice President, of Romanian Association for the Club of Rome; member of the Board or Scientific Council of the New Strategy Center, European Institute of Romania, Black Sea University Foundation, Energy Policy Group, Romanian Diplomatic Institute, member of the Writers’ Union of Romania.

On November 27, the Marin Soresku National Theater in the Romanian city of Krayova hosted the premiere of ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes’s play “The Clouds” directed by Director of the State Theater for Young Spectators of Yerevan, Merited Art Figure of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Ghazanchyan.

09.09.2016 • Armenian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs meets his Romanian counterpart

The Romanian – Armenian cooperation on child rights and protection has reached a new milestone. On the 25th and the 26th of August, a high-level Armenian delegation led by the Armenian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs visited Bucharest, having the mission to learn about the means and ways the child protection reform took place in Romania. Transforming the institutionalization of children into alternative care methods to support a child’s proper development was one of the main points of interest during the field trip of the Armenian delegation.
