Premiere of "Mr. Aznavour" film was held in Bucharest

On March 19, the premiere of the biographical film "Mr. Aznavour" about the famous French-Armenian chansonnier Charles Aznavour took place at the Elvire Popescu Cinema in Bucharest, 
in cooperation with the Embassy of Armenia to Romania, the Embassy of France to Romania, and the French Institute.

Via the screening of the film officially kicked off the annual French Film Festival in Romania, in which the Embassy of Armenia is participating as a partner this year. Within the 
framework of the festival, the film “Mr. Aznavour” and a number of other new French films will be screened in 12 cities of Romania.

The film screening was preceded by the opening of the film festival by Julien Lucchesi, Director of the French Institute. Armenian Ambassador Tigran Galstyan delivered a welcoming speech, 
emphasizing the great significance of Charles Aznavour's life and work not only for the Armenian and French peoples, but also for the international advancement of Francophonie.

The film screening, as well as the reception preceding it, was attended by the Romanian officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest, members of the
Romanian-Armenian community, and numerous cultural figures.
