The 10th Anniversary Edition of the Festival "Strada Armenească" in Bucharest

From 31 July to 2 August, the Bucharest Botanical Garden hosted the 10th anniversary edition of the Festival "Strada Armnească", an event dedicated to promoting Armenian culture, art, traditions, and cuisine.

The festival was organized at the initiative of the Armenian Cultural Center of the Union of Armenians in Romania, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Romania. This year's edition also marked, for the first time, the participation of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, as well as the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

Over the course of three days, audiences enjoyed open-air concerts performed by artists from Armenia, Romania, and the Republic of Moldova. Armenia was represented on the main stage by vocalist Anna Kostanyan and saxophonist Davit Melkonyan, and the band "Katil," while traditional Armenian dance was showcased by the ensembles "Vardavar" and "Haykyanner."

Tens of thousands of visitors had the opportunity to explore stands featuring Armenian products, many of which were imported from Armenia for the first time. The Tourism Committee was present with a dedicated stand, where it also organized a giveaway, with the grand prize being a trip to Yerevan.

In addition to the artisan market, the festival featured numerous Armenian art and craft workshops, offering participants interactive and authentic experiences.

The event was honored by the presence of high-level representatives of Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as dignitaries, politicians, ambassadors accredited to Romania, and members of the diplomatic corps, alongside the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, Tigran Galstyan.

Having become one of the most appreciated and eagerly anticipated summer events in Bucharest, the Armenian Street Festival received extensive media coverage from Romania's leading press outlets.
