Armenia's pavilion at the Romanian tourism exhibition

From February 12-15, Armenia participated at the Romanian tourism exhibition (Târgul de Turism al României 2026) with a dedicated pavilion for the first time.

In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Romania and the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Armenia, at the initiative of the newly established Armenian Business Council of Romanian-Armenian businessmen and with the involvement of tour operators from Armenia, the tourism potential of Armenia, its rich cultural heritage and modern active destinations were presented to thousands of visitors of the exhibition.

Ambrozie-Irineu Dărău, Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania, visited the Armenian pavilion within the framework of the exhibition. The Vardavar dance ensemble of the Romanian-Armenian community performed Armenian national dances.

Within the framework of the exhibition, on February 13, the Armenian Ambassador Tigran Galstyan, together with Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of the RA Tourism Committee, and Vahe Hovakimyan, Head of the Armenian Business Council, held meetings at the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania with State Secretary Laurențiu Viorel Gîdei, Director General of the General Department of Tourism Alin Grigore, and Member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies Dumitru Văduva.

At the meetings the possibilities of expanding Armenia-Romania tourism cooperation were discussed, highlighting the effective operation of the newly opened Yerevan-Bucharest direct flight.
