"Strada Armeneasca" festival was held in Bucharest

On 2-4 August, "Strada Armeneasca" festival was held in Bucharest, an annual event organized by the Union of Armenians in Romania and the Armenian Cultural Center, in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Romania in frame of which various components of the Armenian culture, including song, dance, crafts, embroidery, glass painting, floral art, etc. were popularized on a large scale.

For three days, in the presence of tens of thousands of visitors, the Bucharest Botanical Garden hosted musical performances by the Armenian and Romanian singers and ensembles, the exhibitions of the Armenian traditions, customs and crafts were held in many pavillions.

Romanian well-known band Subcarpat, the Armenian artists Hayk Karoyi ft Susanna Najarian, the Jinj band, DJ Miko, the Romanian band Prima Dragoste, the musical ensemble Karin, "Vardavar" dance group of the Armenian community in Romania,  the Romanian musicians Ovidiu Lipan Țăndărică, Stelu Enache and Balkano band, singer Paulina performed within the frame of the festival. The festival concluded with the concert of Ladaniva band, which has represented Armenia in the "Eurovision-2024" competition.

Open-air discussions on the worldwide-spread Armenian culture, history and current developments, with the participation of Tigran Galstyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Romania, Varujan Vosganian, President of the Union of Armenians in Romania,  President of the Union of Writers in Romania, Varujan Pambuccian, deputy of the Romanian Parliament, and other prominent members of the Armenian community of Romania was organized during the festival.

Within the frame of the three-day-long festival the Armenian costumes, fabrics, handmade jewelry were presented in various booths, the tasting of the Armenian food and drinks as well as master classes of cross-stone making, embroidery, floral art and competition of creative games for children were organized.

The festival was extensively covered by the prominent Romanian mass media.
