Meetings of Ambassador Tigran Galstyan within the frame of the visit paid to the Tulcea county of Romania

On 26 July, Tigran Galstyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Romania, within his working visit paid to Tulcea, had a meeting with Mayor Ștefan Ilie.

At the meeting, both sides emphasized the centuries-old presence and active role of the Armenian community of Tulcea in the social and political life of the city.

The mayor of Tulcea presented the vision of the development of the city and the existing challenges.

Noting with satisfaction the city administration's care towards the Armenian community of Tulcea, Ambassador Galstyan congratulated Ștefan Ilie on his re-election as a Mayor of Tulcea.

Both sides emphasized the importance of decentralized cooperation in the context of the activation of the Armenian-Romanian ties at all levels.

On the same day, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia was also hosted at the Tulcea County Council and had a meeting with Dumitru Mergeani, Public Administrator of the county, together with Lucian Simion, Advisor to the President of the County Council, President of the Tulcea branch of the Union of Armenians in Romania.

At the meeting, reference was made to the expansion of cooperation established with Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia, including the possibilities of the activating mutual visits.
