"Safe You" mobile app presentation ceremony took place in Bucharest

On 3 June, the presentation of the Armenian "Safe YOU" digital application took place in Bucharest, during which the founder of the application, Mariam Torosyan, presented the possibilities of the innovative tool for combating violence against women and girls, announcing the launch of it on the territory of Romania with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in cooperation with the "Sensiblu Foundation", the leading Romanian NGO in the field of women's social protection.

The presentation event was attended by Tigran Galstyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Romania, Monaliza Cîrstea,Director of the National Agency for Equal Opportunities, as well as representatives of the diplomatic missions and UN agencies accredited to Bucharest, together with the civil society representatives and the Romanian mass-media.

The launch was preceded by a meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia, on 31 May, with the representatives of "Safe YOU" and their Romanian NGO partner, during which the perspectives and future joint projects in the field of social protection of women and girls were discussed.
