Screening of director Inna Shakyan's "Aurora's Sunrise" film was held in Bucharest

On the occasion of the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, on 24 April, the screening of the film "Aurora's Sunrise" directed by Inna Sahakyan, laureate of prestigious international festivals, took place in Bucharest. The event was organized by the Armenian Cultural Center of Romania.

At the opening of the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Romania, Tigran Galstyan, and the President of the Union of Armenians in Romania, Varujan Vosganian, in the spirit of the Genocide commemoration day, delivered speeches.

The screening was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Armenian community of Romania, national minorities, as well as many Romanian movielovers.

In his speech, Ambassador Galstyan noted the importance of recognizing the Armenian Genocide for the prevention of future crimes, emphasizing that the acceptance of the historical fact of the Genocide and the consistent fight against denial is not a complex political dilemma, but a simple value-system choice and is solely in the interest of the countries and societies which recognize it.
