Ambassador Tigran Galstyan had a meeting with Sergiu Nistor, Presidential Adviser and Representative of the President of Romania for Francophonie.

On 2 April, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Romania, Tigran Galstyan had a meeting with Sergiu Nistor, the Adviser of the President of Romania, coordinating the Department of Culture, Cults and National Minorities, and the personal representative of the President of Romania for Francophonie.

Noting the existence of deep bilateral cultural ties at the roots of the centuries-old friendship of the Armenian and Romanian peoples, gratitude was expressed for the special care and active steps taken by the Romanian side in the direction of preserving the Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage in Romania.

Reference was made to the undeniable contribution of the Armenian community in Romania to the development of Armenian-Romanian relations, the opportunities of the full realization of the community's potential, as well as to the further cooperation aimed at increasing the visibility of the Armenian heritage in Romania.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions regarding the expansion of cooperation within the programs implemented by the International Organization of Francophonie, the University Agency of Francophonie and the regional offices in Bucharest.

Both sides emphasized the importance of protecting and promoting the core values of the OIF: democracy, the rule of law, fundamental human rights and freedoms.
