On 25 March, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Romania, Tigran Galstyan had a meeting with the Chairperson of the Joint Permanent Committee of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate for relations with UNESCO, Ana-Maria Cătăuță.

The prospects of development of Armenian-Romanian relations in the educational, scientific and cultural spheres as well as the activation of inter-parliamentary cooperation in this direction were at the core of the bilateral discussion.

In this context, reference was made to the continuous contribution of the Armenian community to the development of public life in Romania, as well as to the future bilateral cooperation in the direction of preserving and promoting the Armenian cultural and spiritual heritage in Romania, including within the framework of UNESCO.

Ambassador Galstyan also touched upon the issue of preservation of Armenian historical, cultural and spiritual heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing the importance of cooperation with international partners in multilateral and parliamentary formats.
