Hakob Ghazanchyan’s performance was one of the cultural events of this year in Krayova

On November 27, the Marin Soresku National Theater in the Romanian city of Krayova hosted the premiere of ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes’s play “The Clouds” directed by Director of the State Theater for Young Spectators of Yerevan, Merited Art Figure of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Ghazanchyan. The Armenian director also staged the play and arranged the music. The play starred Dragoş Măceşanu (Socrates), Nicolae Vicol (Strepsiades), Angel Rababoc and Cătălin Vieru.

As reported the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Romania to Hayern Aysor, the performance directed by Hakob Ghazanchyan was one of the cultural events of the year in Krayova. In 2003, he directed the play “The Clouds” at Stobi Amphitheater in Macedonia. There is also a story behind the collaboration between Ghazanchyan and the theater of Krayova. In 2014, Yerevan State Dramatic Theater participated in the Shakespeare Festival in Krayova, and in his turn, the director of the theater of Krayova Alexandru Boureanu visited Armenia to participate in the Shakespeare Festival organized by Hakob Ghazanchyan.

At the invitation of Alexandru Boureanu, Armenia’s Ambassador Hamlet Gasparyan was also attending the premiere of “The Clouds”.
